Process/Materials Development engineer


You will work with a multidisciplinary team, designing, developing, and testing of new technology and products. You must be comfortable and derive satisfaction from the challenges of combining the Company's products and technical capabilities to the customer base to deliver significant end results. We have a fast paced work environment that will require strong organizational skills. You will additionally need to take ownership of other challenges as they present themselves and follow the process from start to finish making sure proper support is provided to the customer. This role requires an ability to optimize material compositions, and evaluate printability of new materials and processes.

A high degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The successful candidate will have a "can do" attitude that is coupled with the presence necessary to instill confidence both internally and externally. A considerable amount of judgment, problem solving, and the ability to communicate issues and solutions quickly is required.

The ideal candidate is an energetic, creative, motivated, organized, self-starter and team player who possesses good communication skills. This job will involve research and development of bio-materials for 3D printing. The ideal candidate will be familiar with biochemical processes and working with others conducting experiments/develop compositions in a lab-setting.


Qualifications:

  • US person (citizen or permanent resident)

  • Bachelor's degree candidate in Material Science or similar engineering/science fields (Mechanical, Electrical, Bio-engineering, biochemistry, Chemical, or related specialty preferred) from an accredited college or university

  • Prior experience in Materials development highly desirable

  • Prior experience in 3D printing industry highly desirable

  • Prior experience in CAD (solidworks) or mechanical design is desirable

  • Biology R&D experience is highly desirable

  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills;

  • Superb communication skills with ability to successfully build and maintain relationships with customers, designers, and engineers

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with excellent written and verbal communications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with a general understanding of data analysis techniques

  • Able to work well under pressure and defuse volatile situations

  • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills

  • Willing to work extra hours to “get the job done”
