Electrical Engineer


 
 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities: 

  • Designing, modifying, developing, writing and implementing software applications for controlling 3D printing and automated equipment and/or sensor interrogation hardware

  • Design of electrical control systems for robotics and 3D printing hardware

  • Arduino or other embedded controller firmware development

  • Acquiring and using system level knowledge to make improvements to software

  • Writing up progress on each project

  • Capturing, handling, transferring data and reporting experimental results

  • Reviewing scientific literature

  • Provide support to R&D engineers and scientists

Education and Experience: 

  • Experience with Python /Visual basic etc.

  • Familiarity with version control tools

  • Fast prototyping skills

  • Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and feedback loops

  • Strong ability to learn and apply concepts beyond your own expertise and instantiate it into code

  • Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering a variety of applications

  • Have the ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments

  • Working towards or currently have BS, MS or PhD Degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical engineering, Material science, physics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline

  • Must be a US Citizen.

Pay: depends on experience (DOE)

Hours: Part-time to full time depending on applicant
